If you don`t love the shade of your teeth, we are here to help you.
There are many causes and treatment options
for discoloration of your teeth.
So, before you sign up for a bleaching procedure or
do at-home whitening, you should make an initial appointment
with us to find out the the source of the discoloration.

To bleach, or not to bleach. that is the question.

Let`s look at the history of the tooth #21.
There is no known trauma history and
no history of root canal treatment.
But the radiolucent lesion at the root of #21 shows
that the bacteria permanently damaged the pulp.
The tooth has no response to cold or hot.
The tooth is turning gray. What does that mean? Necrotic pulp!
One-visit root canal treatment was performed
to remove the bacteria and dead pulp tissue in the canal.
Now that the tooth has lost its vitality, the internal bleaching technique
would be the best treatment option for this tooth.

How to internal bleaching different from tooth whitening?
Traditional tooth whitening removes stains from the external surface
of the teeth usually by using a hydrogen peroxide solution.
Internal bleaching involves placing a paste consisting of sodium
perborate and distilled water inside the tooth.
The agent is left in the tooth up to two weeks.
Once the desired whiteness level is achieved, the chemical is removed.
The hole is filled.
The whitening effect should last about 5 - 7 years
if you practice good hygiene and visit your dentist regularly.
It is important to remember
that internal bleaching may not remove all staining.
If you are unsatisfied with the result, a crown
can be placed to match the color of adjacent teeth.
